About

CPNYC incorporates the best practices of youth development into all of our programs while taking into consideration the unique needs of the population. We understand that children who lose a parent to incarceration may experience emotional trauma and psychological consequences. As a result, CPNYC provides our Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) Wellness Center and an array of youth services in the same program site. CPNYC is the first and only agency in NYC to adopt this service model.

Participating in our after school program allows children to develop their intellectual, social, and emotional competencies. A typical day for scholars at CPNYC may include receiving tutoring for extra help with reading, immersing themselves in a hands-on creative project led by a licensed art therapist, polishing math skills in the computer lab, playing a game of basketball with friends, and enjoying a nutritious snack and dinner. We always ensure a safe and vibrant space for our scholars to come after their school day.
