NFL Day

On July 24th Children of Promise, NYC (CPNYC) welcomed former NFL players and members of the League’s corporate team for a fun-filled day of games and inspiration. In CPNYC’s gym and classrooms, kids and NFL staff painted murals and played classic board games like Jenga and Connect Four while enjoying popcorn and cotton candy generously donated by the NFL.

The day kicked off with an inspiring talk from former NY Giants running back Keith Elias and later spotlighted the achievements of 3 exceptional Children of Promise, NYC program participants. These young people had the opportunity to speak to an audience of NFL staff about the challenges they have faced due to parental incarceration and open up about how they have triumphed over these struggles with the support of Children of Promise’s programming.

News12 documented the inspiring day in a short news segment that can be viewed here.

A big thank you to the incredible team at NFL for organizing an unforgettable day!
