Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission. A qualified applicant to join the CPNYC Board of Directors must exhibit: a passion for senior leadership, deep investment in furthering CPNYC’s mission, dedication to introducing new partnerships to the CPNYC community and an innovative mindset. Potential candidates must have accumulated a wealth of leadership and governance experience in Accounting, Finance, Fundraising Human Resources, Organizational Development, Program Development, and/or Real Estate  
● One year term with possibility for renewal
● Attendance at quarterly meetings
● Abides by all applicable agency laws and acts in accordance with ethical practices
● Generates financial, programmatic and strategic ideas that furthers CPNYC’s success
● Give/ get others to contribute $10,000 per year  
● Network within an exclusive community of philanthropic leaders
● Recognition on CPNYC’s website
● Power to directly impact the lives of this invisible population of children
● Build your capacity to be a dynamic community leader and agent of change
