The Women’s Philanthropy Group (WPG) is a network of talented and passionate women committed to Children of Promise, NYC’s mission of embracing and empowering children of incarcerated parents. WPG members will act as catalysts for change who advocate, fundraise and volunteer their time in support of this forgotten population. Through high-impact advocacy, coalition-building and philanthropy, the WPG will advance CPNYC’s vision to break the cycle of inter-generational incarceration and build brighter futures for children with parents in prison.

The Commitment

  • A one-year term

  • Attend quarterly WPG meetings

  • Spearhead one fundraising event per year

  • Give or get a minimum of $2,000 annually to advance CPNYC’s mission

Benefits

  • Access to a network of senior-level professionals united by a shared commitment to driving social change

  • Invitations to exclusive events and networking opportunities

Emerging Leaders Council (ELC)

The Emerging Leaders Council (ELC) is a leadership committee that consists of young professionals passionate about CPNYC and its mission to embrace and empower children of incarcerated parents. ELC members play a critical role in helping CPNYC achieve its fundraising goals, connect with potential partners, and amplify its work. As a leadership committee, the ELC expands and enhances CPNYC's network and resources. Individuals interested in joining the YPC must first submit an application, and potential candidates complete a brief onboarding process before officially joining the ELC. Membership requires leadership, dependability, and a firm commitment to CPNYC's mission. Strong candidates excel in their ability to communicate, multitask, and collaborate with others to plan events that elevate CPNYC’s work.

The Commitment

  • Serve for one full calendar year

  • Attend quarterly ELC meetings

  • Engage in at least two service days a year at CPNYC

  • Spearhead one fundraising event per year

  • Give or get a minimum of $1,000 per year
