PROMISE OF A FULL PLATE

Beyond a Meal, We Feed Dreams

COP THANKSGIVING BROOKLN SITE-75 CROPPED.jpg

A FULL PLATE FEEDS MORE THAN HUNGER.

At CPNYC, a full plate means more than food, it means stability, care, and the wraparound support our scholars need to thrive. Nutritious meals fuel their bodies. Academic enrichment builds confidence. Mental health services help them navigate stress and loss. Together, these essentials open the door to hope and possibility.

As we close the year, your gift helps us keep the Promise of a Full Plate alive by:

  • Providing consistent meals and grocery support for families

  • Ensuring children have the energy and focus to learn and grow

  • Sustaining holistic services that nurture each child’s potential

 Why Make This Promise

  • Since 2024, federal and state SNAP rollbacks have left families with less than half their monthly food budget.

  • CPNYC families are disproportionately affected, with 80% of parents or caregivers reporting increased grocery insecurity.

  • The average monthly grocery cost for a family of four has risen by 24% since 2022.

Caregiver's Challenging Choices

As SNAP reductions take effect, many of our families are facing empty shelves and difficult decisions between food, rent, and transportation. For parents already managing the emotional strain of family separation, these cuts deepen instability and worry.

Make Your Promise

Your gift helps us:

  • Provide weekly grocery stipends and pantry support to our families

  • Offer healthy meals and snacks to scholars across our afterschool and mental health programs

  • Deliver emergency food relief to families losing SNAP benefits
