A FULL PLATE FEEDS MORE THAN HUNGER.
At CPNYC a full plate means more than food. It represents stability, care, and the wraparound support our children need to thrive. Nutritious meals fuel their bodies. Academic enrichment strengthens their confidence. Mental health support helps them process loss and stress. Together, these essentials create the foundation for healing and hope.
As we close out the year, we invite you to help us keep the Promise of a Full Plate alive. Your end-of-year gift will allow us to:
Provide consistent, nutritious meals and grocery support to families in need
Ensure children have the focus and energy to learn and grow
Sustain the holistic services that surround our scholars with care and possibility
Why Make This Promise
Since 2024, federal and state SNAP rollbacks have left families with less than half their monthly food budget.
CPNYC families are disproportionately affected, with 80% of parents or caregivers reporting increased grocery insecurity.
The average monthly grocery cost for a family of four has risen by 24% since 2022.
Caregiver's Challenging Choices
As SNAP reductions take effect, many of our families are facing empty shelves and difficult decisions between food, rent, and transportation. For parents already managing the emotional strain of family separation, these cuts deepen instability and worry.
Make Your Promise
Your gift helps us:
Provide weekly grocery stipends and pantry support to our families
Offer healthy meals and snacks to scholars across our afterschool and mental health programs
Deliver emergency food relief to families losing SNAP benefits
Keep the Promise
Every dollar helps us fill plates, eases stress and restores hope for families impacted by incarceration and food insecurity.
